The photographs capture areas of USS New Jersey that have never appeared in print before. The book also includes comparative photographs showing the other Iowa-class battleships: USS Iowa, USS Missouri, and USS Wisconsin.\n \n \n\n \nThe book is divided into sections for each deck, with additional sections for the engine rooms, fire rooms, and sixteen-inch turrets. Each section has plans that are keyed to the photograph locations. The captions describe in detail the functions of the ship.\n
