Her books have received many awards and the Wall Street Journal described her book How to Survive Modern Art as a 'lesson in clarity'. She has twice been named the No. 1 art writer by the Independent. Her previous titles include: The Great Artists: Vincent van Gogh, The Great Artists: Paul Klee and Just Draw! Faces in 15 Minutes (all for Arcturus) and How to Look at Art (Tate Publishing). She lives near London in the UK.
