Two of Mochizuki's works, Samehada Otoko to Momojiri Onna (Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl) and Dragon Head have been adapted into live-action films, and his series Ochanoma (The Living Room) was adapted into a live-action drama. \n \nDragon Head earned him the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize--one of the manga industry's most coveted awards established in honor of the tremendously influential author of Astro Boy and Buddha--as well as the prestigious Kodansha Manga Award.\n
