M] brings Romanian photography’s defining figures into view through a series of photobooks, shaping a collective portrait of contemporary voices. \n \n This set features the impactful documentary photography of Ioana Moldovan. \n \n Her work has been published by The New York Times, BBC, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Der Spiegel, GEO Magazin, Libération, de Volkskrant, De Standaard, Trouw, Society Magazine, NPR, ESPN, Al Jazeera English, Huffington Post, Deutsche Welle, LensCulture, Radio France Internationale and Vice, among others. Her photos have won awards, have illustrated books, were shown in theatre shows and numerous national and international exhibitions. In 2016 she took part in the Eddie Adams Workshop and was awarded The Bill Eppridge Memorial Award for Excellence and Truth in Photographic Journalism. The U.S. Embassy in Bucharest presented her with the “Women of courage” award for outstanding achievement in highlighting truth through photojournalism.
