The desired transformation in present-day organisations can be better enhanced when organisational leadership, corporate governance, business ethics, intellectual capital, innovation, knowledge and performance jointly become an integral part of the organisational culture. \n The competitive business world and the changing conditions make it necessary to constantly re-assess the available human and financial resources so that the required outcomes, that is the desired performance, will be achieved. Meanwhile, creating an environment that recognises and sustains performance, brings about change in the way people behave, act and think. In the disruptive and changing context of our times, we need to examine to what extent the new normal, the post-pandemic environment, acts as a catalyst in influencing intellectual capital, a strategic resource for creating competitive advantage. The current disruptive business context prompts companies to adapt to new challenges in order to properly accomplish their objectives.
